CITYLAB: MARIETTA
Introduction

What is CityLab?
CityLab is an experiential learning program at Johns Hopkins's Carey Business School. It empowers students to reimagine cities through immersive experiences and social impact projects, fostering business innovation and inclusive wealth creation.

What is Placemaking?
Placemaking is a process that focuses on designing and managing public spaces to create vibrant, community-centered environments. It uses urban planning, community engagement, and design to enhance the quality of life in a neighborhood, city, or region.

Why does this matter?
The ultimate goal is to make cities and communities more welcoming, inclusive, and functional (in other words, more livable) by fostering a sense of belonging and connection among people. These efforts are tied to attracting investors for shared wealth.
